2. Can I record the class?
Electronic recording devices of any kind are prohibited.

3. How are classes structured?
Classroom time focuses on listening, note-taking and asking questions, the other portion involves hands on practice.  Each day, students will have the opportunity to take part in three treatments – receiving a treatment and giving 2 treatments to other class participants. Generally, we work in groupings of 3, but some instructors have done it in groups of 2.
The five–day class is divided into two sections.  The first three days we work with foundational information from Text 1 laying the unmanifested and manifesting framework for days four and five, the manifested body and organ function flows and special body function flows in Text 2.

4. If I take the class, can I start working on people right away?
Yes, we encourage you to embrace every opportunity to reinforce your Jin Shin Jyutsu teachings by practicing on yourself, family, friends and pets.  However, because you are still a student, it is recommended that you attend at least three five-day classes charging for your services. After 3 classes, you are recognized by Jin Shin Jyutsu Inc., Scottsdale AZ as a practitioner of the art with the hope that you will make this a lifelong practice and continue your training beyond 3 classes.

5. Eighteen months or more, why so long?
Because of the vast knowledge base encompassing Jin Shin Jyutsu, this has been established as the minimum timeframe required to ensure students explore, experience and correctly practice JSJ techniques and applications. It is designed so that the students develop a deeper awareness and understanding of the physio-philosophy that Mary Burmeister has provided to us, through the instructors of Jin Shin Jyutsu.
